Mick has 30 years' experience in the livestock industry after joining Rural Livestock in 1992. Mick comes from a farming background and has always been interested in the rural sector and the people who work within it.
Mick is passionate about the livestock industry and enjoys helping people achieve their end goals with his knowledge and expertise. As a new agent Mick was fortunate enough to have been given a strong start in the industry by the founders of Rural Livestock and the knowledge and advice that was passed on was exceptional. Mick is very keen to ensure that this continues and enjoys helping and advising up and coming young agents that are coming into the industry. This is evident in the National Young Auctioneers Competition that Mick initiated 10 years ago which continues to grow year by year.
Mick has worked in various areas including Banks Peninsula, Marlborough and currently Central and mid Canterbury servicing beef and dairy farmers. The combination of beef and dairy has given Mick a vast knowledge of this side of the industry. Mick features at Canterbury Park auctions on a regular basis giving him great insight into current market conditions. Outside out of work Mick plays golf, tennis and enjoys exploring our country mountain biking. Mick is a member of the Canterbury A&P association & currently sits on the general committee.
