Hamish has been with Rural Livestock as the Otago Area Manager since August 2017.

The 14 Rural Livestock Agents in Otago, work as a team and cover the area from the Waitaki River up to Twizel, down to Balclutha, through Central to Wanaka- a great part of our country. Prior to this role Hamish worked in Agri Banking with Rabobank based out of the Oamaru branch for seven years and before that for Merial Ancare in the animal health industry for five years.

Hamish grew up in Scargill, North Canterbury on the family farm and went to boarding school in Christchurch.

Outside of work Hamish and his wife Nic have three children Molly, William, and Angus who they chase around the country with the various sports they play and hobbies they have. As a family they enjoy spending time on the water at the lakes with friends and family. Hamish enjoys playing a bit of cricket and is involved in the local Valley Rugby Football Club based in Weston Oamaru. Hamish also enjoys getting out to catch a few blue cod and paua from time to time.
