Mike has been in the dairy industry for over 43 years. Originally from Dargaville in the far north where Mike and his wife Missy were 50/50 share milkers. In 1994 they put their herd on a truck and packed up their three kids and moved to west Otago to do a larger sharemilking job in Heriot.
After three years Michael and his wife purchased their farm in Riverton where they would now milk over 550 cows. In 2006, the family moved to Wanaka to semi retire (that hasn't worked as planned).
Mike's achievements in the dairy industry include being awarded Southland sharemilkers of the year in 1997 and third overall in New Zealand sharemilker of year.
Mike was eventually approached to become an agent after he left to help set up another large-scale dairy unit in Hawea just outside of Wanaka. He would specialize in dairy mainly around central Otago forging relationships and sharing his wealth of experience.
He's a keen golfer with a handicap of 4 and enjoys paddle boarding. Mike is also motivated to see well grown stock and happy customers performing at their optimal best.
